Scott McDevitt offers private guitar lessons for rock, jazz, funk, blues, folk and country. He teaches all ages and all levels at Apple Music located at 225 SW First Ave in downtown Portland, Oregon.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

My musical background is very diverse and I enjoy teaching almost any style. My main goal as a teacher is to realize the direction the student would like to go and take them there. While learning the fundamentals of the guitar are essential, I don't like to waste time on lessons and exercises that don't interest the student. Learning should be fun, not a chore. Whether your goal is to strum simple folk songs, rip on rock tunes, or play more complex jazz/funk, I can show you the way.
